Use ReadSpeaker (Text to Speech) to translate course content

  • In this article, we will show you how to use ReadSpeaker, the text to speech feature available in the StrongMind LMS, to translate course content into another language

  1. From your Dashboard, click the course card for the course you want to work in.

  2. Click the Modules tab. For some courses, this may also be the Home tab.
    Then select course content.

  3. Highlight the text you want to translate.
    Then click Translate.

    Select the language you want the text translated into.

  4. Click I Understand.

    Then you can read the translated text. If you want to listen to it, click the play button.

Use ReadSpeaker (Text to Speech) in Exams

  1. From your Dashboard, click the course card for the course you want to work in.

  2. Click the Modules tab. For some courses, this may also be the Home tab.
    Then select an exam.

  3. Click the Play button to listen to the directions on the start page.

    To listen to a question, click the Play button.

    To listen to an answer choice, highlight the text.
    Then click Listen.

Switch between students in the StrongMind Mobile App

  • In this article, we will show you how to switch between students in the StrongMind Mobile App
    • NOTE: This is only applicable for those who have access to submit attendance for multiple students

  1. Click the profile photo in the top right hand corner.

  2. Select the student you want to view.

    Then you will see the profile photo for the student you selected. If you have attendance to submit, you can submit it for the selected student here.

Download the StrongMind Mobile App for Apple users

  • In this article, we will show you how to download the StrongMind Mobile App if you have an Apple device (iPhone or iPad)

  1. Using your phone, click the provided link.
  2. Click View in App Store.

    Then the App Store will open.
    Click the download icon.
    Downloading the TestFlight app allows you to StrongMind to receive information on your usage of the StrongMind mobile app.

    Click Open.

    Read the TestFlight welcome page and click Continue.

  3. Navigate back to the link you were sent.
    Click Start Testing.


    Click Install to install the StrongMind mobile app.


  4. Read the information from the developer.
    Then click Next.

    Read about how to share feedback with StrongMind on the app.

    Then you will be taken to the StrongMind Mobile App login screen.

Download the StrongMind Mobile App for Android users

  1. Using your phone, click the provided link.
  2. Click Become a Tester.

  3. Click the link that says “download it on Google Play.”

  4. Then the Google Play store will open.
    Click Install.

    Once the app has installed on your phone, click on it to login.

Approve attendance using the StrongMind Mobile App

  • In this article, we will show parents and guardians how to approve attendance using the StrongMind Mobile App

Note: Students will only submit attendance if they have been instructed to do so by their school. Parents and guardians can approve attendance after their student has submitted attendance for that week.

  1. Check the total attendance time submitted by your student for the week.

  2. If you want to edit your student’s submitted attendance, click the down arrow next to the day you want to edit.

    NOTE: Your student may have estimated time for their courses.
    The yellow indicator will appear for courses where they submitted attendance that was below the estimate.

    The red indicator will appear for courses where no attendance has been submitted.

    When all attendance for the week is correct, click Approve Week.

    You will see that you have successfully submitted attendance for that week. If a new week of attendance is available, the attendance for that week will appear.

    If there’s no more attendance to approve, you will see that you’re all caught up.

Submit attendance using the StrongMind Mobile App

Note: You will only submit attendance if you have been instructed to do so by your school. You cannot submit attendance for the current day. Attendance can only be submitted for days you have previously worked in your courses.

  1. Click the down arrow next to the day you want to enter attendance for.

  2. Click on a course to enter attendance for.
    Any courses or days that attendance has been approved for will be grayed out.

  3. Scroll through the numbers to enter the hours and minutes of attendance for the course.
    Then click Submit.

    Then you will see the entered attendance hours and minutes for that course.

    You may see estimated hours of attendance under your attendance for the each day and course. These are guidelines for how much time you may want to submit for attendance.

    If you enter less time than the estimate, you will see a yellow indicator on that course. You can submit less time than the estimate.

    If you enter no time for the course, you will see a red indicator. Enter attendance for those courses before moving on.

  4. Continue to enter attendance for all available days and courses.

    When attendance for all available days and courses are entered, attendance will auto-submit.
    Note: After submitting attendance, your parent or guardian needs to approve your attendance. To learn how, go here.

    If a new week of attendance is available, the attendance for that week will appear.

Approve attendance in the Parent Student Portal (PSP)

Note: Students will only submit attendance if they have been instructed to do so by their school. Parents and guardians can approve attendance after their student has submitted attendance for that week.

  1. Click Attendance from the left hand side menu.

  2. If you want to edit your student’s submitted attendance, click the hour and minute fields for the date you want to edit.

    Type in the hours and minutes.
    Then click Approve.

    Once all attendance is approved, you will see that you have no attendance to submit.

Submit attendance in the Parent Student Portal (PSP)

Note: You will only submit attendance if you have been instructed to do so by your school. You cannot submit attendance for the current day. Attendance can only be submitted for days you have previously worked in your courses.

  1. Click Attendance from the left hand side menu.

  2. Click the hour and minute fields for the date you want to enter attendance for.

    Type in the hours and minutes you worked that day.

    Add hours and minutes for every date you worked that week.
    Check the total hours and minutes you entered for the week.
    Then click Submit.

    Note: After submitting attendance, your parent or guardian needs to approve your attendance. To learn how, go here.

    Click History to check your submitted attendance.
    You will see your entered attendance for the selected week.
